History of Hosiery

Initially, when skirt hemlines began to rise in the 1920’s, there was no hosiery option available for women to cover their legs, aside from stockings. Luckily, by the time the miniskirt was introduced in 1965, the first pantyhose were rolling out of the mills. Some women think wearing pantyhose and other types of hosiery are archaic practices, but the industry continues to evolve to meet consumer’s demands. There is a type of hosiery to meet the current and changing needs of every woman.
