Grutex, S.A. is the original company that eventually became Guilio. In 1973, it was founded in Barcelona by a bunch of professionals who were already working within the textile industry but had new and innovative ideas for designing underwear and men’s loungewear apparel. The line was originally distributed in Spain and it quickly became an industry leader within the domestic market. Many of its key products did so well, the executives at Giulio knew they needed to expand their underwear line.

Since the original brand was created, it has evolved through new teams of management that keep making the brand current, season after season and year after year. Grutex has been pushed further over the past decades into expanding overseas to Russia, Canada, Puerto Rico and the United States. They offer such high-quality men’s underwear, both fashion and basics, that the name GIULIO has become synonymous with excellence in men’s underwear the world over, from Europe to America.

Giulio underwear has several different collections that each focus on offering the finest designs and the most innovative fabrics. The creators of Guilio underwear are not afraid to adapt their production system to utilize the most progressive textile technology in the industry in order to stay at the forefront of comfort and style.

At this point in their development, Guilio has created three separate product lines (with a repertoire of more than 1.2 million actual products) that they distribute to Spain and the rest of the European Union countries. Their three primary lines are: sleepwear, swimwear and underwear. Currently Freshpair only offers Guilio underwear on the site. Giulio makes products for conservative men with more traditional tastes as well as for sophisticated young professionals with refined, worldly taste.
