National undie day is the brainchild of freshpair.com, an Internet retailer of men's and women's intimate apparel. According to Freshpair's Web site, here are a few factoids you really must know (well, in case you want to send someone a special gift): Based on a survey of 20,000 men, most prefer briefs, boxer briefs, boxers, thongs, nothing at all and "other styles," in that order. As for women, most like to wear panties, thongs, boy shorts, nothing at all and other styles.

Freshpair officials say underwear doesn't get the attention it deserves. So be sure to wear your newest and cleanest on this of all days.
