Did you know that Wednesday is National Underwear Day? Guess the better question would be, do you care?

Well, someone does. It's the third annual celebration of all things tighty whitey, and models in New York City will take to the streets Wednesday wearing nothing but their unmentionables. Except in this case, they're not only mentionable, they're visible.

Why is such a day necessary? According to Michael Kleinmann, chief operating officer of Freshpair.com, an Internet retailer of men's and women's undies: "National Underwear Day was created to bring attention to something almost everyone wears, but rarely gets the attention it deserves."

Uh . . . what do you mean, "almost" everyone wears?
