Underwear Has Its Day In The Sun

Models will be cavorting in underwear in New York's Times Square and around Penn Station Wednesday in honor of National Underwear Day.

Uh-huh. National Underwear Day.

This spectacle is being sponsored by Freshpair.com, "a leading internet retailer of men's and women's intimate apparel." The company says the male and female models will be wearing nothing but undergarments from a wide variety of brands, including C-IN2, 2(x)ist, Ginch Gonch, Maidenform, Natori, RIPS, Hugo Boss, Le Mystere, Wacoal, Rago, Male Power and Unico.

The models will be polling passersby on their choice of skivvies and asking people to sign a petition that urges the official recognition of this annual panty-pride occasion.
