I first met Hanes underwear when serving close to US Forces in Germany. Being allowed in PX and BX facilities it was at Wiesbaden I purchased my first packs and I think that was about 1967.
I have tried other brands when travelling the world in Army service but nothing comes up to Hanes underwear for quality and longevity.
These are as good as ever, maybe even better, and I wouldn't purchase any other brand.

These briefs are the most comfortable briefs on the market. They use a better and softer weave than fruit of the loom. They are also softer than Brooks Brothers briefs, but these are made of a thinner fabric. The waste band on Hanes are very comfortable, whereas on Brooks Brothers(as a point of reference for high end), the waste band is strong enough to cut into your skin.
So, to sum up, these are the best normal briefs that I've found. Although the fabric is thin, and they wear out fast- they are comfortable. Not much else to say.
