Comments about Calvin Klein Micro Modal Lycra Trunk:

Calvin's modal trunks have become my "go to" undies for everyday and special occasions. The fabric is amazingly soft, and the cotton modal blend provides cool, comfortable all-day support for the boys. The silk-like look and feel of these trunks makes them well worth paying a little extra, plus they hold up well wash after wash. Just wish they came in a few more colors.

Comments about Calvin Klein Micro Modal Lycra Trunk:

These fit great, support great, and don't bind - and they do it without any bulk whatsoever. These are the lightest, thinnest underwear I have ever used - so much so that I did not expect them to be able to provide any support whatsoever. I usually have to fidget around to be comfortable, but these allow me to forget I am even wearing anything.

Excess material pilling on initial wearing, like socks might do. Seems strange for a modal product. Not sure what to expect for durability or wear after washing.

Comments about Calvin Klein Micro Modal Lycra Trunk:

I purchased both the trunk and the boxer brief. After a wash I had problems with the boxer brief leg material bunching up between the legs. These trunks were better but mainly because there was not as much material that could be bunched up. Perhaps it's my build that is a problem. I've ordered a pair of the briefs hoping that will solve the problem.

Comments about Calvin Klein Micro Modal Lycra Trunk:

I wear the MM bikini in Med, though this would be the same, but not so.. Waist is perfect, package/crotch too snug/pulls, so order a size up. In the uniform in hot weather, chaffing may be an issue, so these will be for 3 season/casual wear..

CK U5554- Best Comfey Boxer Briefs EVER!

Comments about Calvin Klein Micro Modal Lycra Trunk:

I use these CK U5554 boxer briefs as casual every day wear and also during yoga/pilates stretching class.

They are thin, yet durable, with good long lasting quality, and stretches- to move with your body motions.

There is no front fly, but easy to just grab front waist band and pull down when at the urinal.

How I found this pair of undies...

Since I was really serious about finding a pair of undies that I'd always be happy with... I went ahead and invested in research- knowing there may be some undies I don't like and therefore wasted money, but 'comfort' was my primary goal and concernl... and the extra money spent was well worth it, to me, as I found my perfect undies and never ever have to deal with trying different undies again- just decided to do it and get it over with... I'm sure most guys can appreciate and agree with that goal.

I ordered four different Calvin Klein (CK) boxer brief models that had a design which appealed to me. I tried them all to test and find best comfort, and this particular CK model U5554 is what I found to be the best fit and feel- of all the ones I tried.

When I asked about overall order history- The customer service rep. shared that this CK U5554 model has been a steadfast, strongly ordered, very popular, model for 'many years'. This tellas me that it's doubtful CK will ever discontinue it. I will always keep a supply and keep ordering annually. If they ever decide to discontinue I will certainly scramble to buy several years supply! : )

Cost Note: These are high quality designer underwear- so they are therefore expensive, But keep in mind that 'you get what you pay for'. These are very 'Well worth it'- in my eyes and mind. To save money I usually wait for email sale notices or go online to see if on special- then order in bulk.

Fit Note: I did buy one size larger than prescribed- I wear Large, but ordered XL because I don't like tight waist bands- just a preference and due to that there is OK fit in waist, but remaining fabric a little loose overall- However, I've found that over time within a few washes (and dryer time) they shrink just enough for the perfect hug fit- for me!

I really like the front pouch design- support is not tight and has been very comfortable for me throughout entire life of each of the underwear, as expected a little loose when new and as wash and dry time the pouch area shrinks a bit for slightly tighter fit- but not really noticeable... unless you compare on the spot- try on a brand new pair and a one year old pair.

I wear one pair daily (some occassions I'll wear same pair on a second day- if I feel they have not been worn much, but not normally). I wash them once a week and they usually last close to a year... I know it's time to replace when waistband no-longer stays flat against waistline- it starts to bunch-up kinda like wrinkle folds and overall fabric starts to show wear with very small lint balls over top surface of fabric and overall fabric thickness becomes noticeably thin.

I order the black color because it does not show any potential stains or have that faded off-white dirty look you get over time- like white undies would. I've also, in the past, ordered the grayish taupe color. The black seem to wear well, but for some reason the taupe color has a slight static cling issue when in same washer/dryer load with the black color- requires extra shaking and straightening before folding and putting away- compared to the black color. The taupe color overall material also seemed to show wear quicker than the black and I even wore them less than the black color... So, I don't know how or why just a different 'color' would change the 'wear' ability of the fabric, but this has been my experience- maybe just a different lot of material with different properties that were of less quality- is my guess.

I've ordered a weeks worth of these U5554 boxer briefs (approx. 7 pair) three times already- over the past 3yrs and would not ever switch to another brand/model- cause I'm 'that happy' with this one!

WHY I switched from briefs to boxer briefs...

I used to wear briefs type undies, but they often chafed my inner thigh causing rash- which I treated with variety of products that helped, but rash would always return. Doctor said it was fabric from my briefs always rubbing that area and will never go away until I change that issue.

Sooo, to keep sweat from building up on fabric and always rubbing that area- I thought I just won't have any fabric touching me in that area... I switched to plain boxers, but found them too loosy-goosy with no support- a big change for someone used to wearing tight briefs : (

I was about to give up, but ran across and tried the spandex like boxer briefs and it wuz like I encountered heaven! I found that they strike a middle-ground between tight briefs and loose boxers... a great match find- for what I sought and needed.

Sure wish I had a detailed review like this to guide me- when I was searching for the best most comfey underwear : ) Glad they have review posts and asked me to provide comments on my most recent bulk order purchase.

I hope all this info. was helpful to others who find 'comfort' their most important undies deciding factor.

          Peace
