Not recommended foe back support as suggested. Wde band slides down. There is no "grip" to hold the band in place.

I bought this Form Contour Pouch by 2xist to hold my growing middle in place, and hopefully to train me to keep the sleeker look permanently. I also bought the trunks version. Both function for the same purpose, but the trunks version ride up just ever so slightly, while the briefs do not ride up at all. The function is to create a sleeker, thinner appearance. It is supposed to shave off 1-2 inches from your waistline, but I think it more accurately takes off about 3/4 to 1 inch. It also helps to avoid love handles!! One thinkg to keep in mind. I usually take an XL in most cotton underwear because they usually shrink a lot, but I am actually a 36-37. I called customer service and the person advised me to get the XL size, and that person was correct. XL fit me very well. If you are between sizes in your normal waist size, go up one size like I did. This is a good choice if you need the help!!

These briefs seem to be well made and feel comfortable. Right now my mid-section is a little too big for these briefs to do their job - the wide band tends to roll down and/or create the dreaded muffin-top look. Maybe once I have slimmed down a bit more they'll be able to do their job better. Hope so
